Seal of Approval
By: Audrey HasseBy this point, you may have seen the AA label we have been putting on a number of our products recently. If you have been asking yourself what that stamp means, I am here to explain it to you a little bit further. AA stands for Audrey Approved. Now, what does that mean exactly? It means that these products meet certain criteria ensuring they are a better-for-you option and have been approved by the Swiss Farms Registered Dietitian, Audrey- that’s me.
We want to make it easy for you to identify which products are considered good-for-you and have met a certain set of standards, so we literally put a dietitian’s stamp of approval on the products that have passed this test. Now, what is this criteria, you ask? Audrey Approved products have a clean ingredient label. They are free from artificial ingredients such as preservatives, colors, sweeteners, and flavors as well as high fructose corn syrup and trans fats. Simply put, they are items you can trust to be made with real ingredients.
The criteria to be AA focuses on the quality of the ingredients that make up the product rather than the quantity of nutrients and calories found on the nutritional panel, although this is certainly still a factor. Keeping the focus on the quality of ingredients ensures that the nutrients you find on the nutrition panel are coming from whole, natural sources that you can feel good about eating.
So, if you are looking for beverages, snacks, meals or treats with clean, dietitian approved ingredients, come drive through our lanes and ask your Swiss Farms Associate to help you find products with the AA stamp, or use our app or website to peruse our offerings that are dietitian tested and approved.
Why we love them:
Well, because they are cookies. Who doesn’t love cookies?! And, they are cookies that eat like chips. I mean, come on. Not only do we love these sweet, crispy, chip-like cookies because they taste amazing, we also love them because they are made with clean ingredients, free from artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, trans fats, and GMOs. It doesn’t get much better than that. If you are going to indulge in a sweet treat, this is a great option that the whole family will love. Just be careful, they are seriously addicting.
